Ilkeston's own Blindsight have made it to the semi-finals of the Derby Battle of the Bands 2008 competition.

Playing at The Venue on Abbey Street, Derby, on Thursday, will be heavy rock band As The Earth Burns; four piece Edison; Addictive Philosophy who play ska with a healthy dose of punk and have played alongside Dr and the Medics and Highliners.

Also playing will be Pressure who combine prog/rock sax fused with punk/rock guitars and gritty melodic vocals, while Sinatra are influenced by bands like Oceansize and Mogwai.

Tickets priced £3 are available for the over-14s audience.
The doors open at 7.30pm but you must arrive before 8pm for the chance to vote.

For more information visit www.imemusic.co.uk or email ian@imemusic.co.uk.

The semi-finals will begin on Thursday, May 22.
