A family favourite returns to the cinema in a new, exciting way when Walt Disney Pictures' computer-animated film Chicken Little comes to Cinema de Lux in 3D, starting on August 22.
Though the film was originally released in the UK in 2006, the technology that makes 3D presentation possible was not available in the region at that time.

Cinema de Lux, which opened in May, has changed that; several of its auditoriums feature
3D capabilities, and the cinema is committed to bringing this kind of film content to the area.

Operations manager Andrew Riley said "We're thrilled to bring this kind of film and technology to the Derby area. The 3D effects are fantastic, and there's a lot of humour and action in the film which work very well in 3D.

"For people who haven't experienced a 3D film yet, or for families who want to have a great day at the cinema, Chicken Little 3D is a perfect film to see."

Inspired by the classic children's tale about young chick and his fear that the sky is falling down, the film features a talented voice cast including US television star Zach Braff, Joan Cusack, Patrick Stewart and 'Simpsons' star Harry Shearer.

The film is certified U. Chicken Little 3D plays daily at 11.15 am, 12.55 pm, 4.15 pm and 5.55 pm.
