A gifted string quartet will perform its wide-ranging classical repertoire for Dales audiences next month.
Attrampe String Quartet look set to delight crowds with its interpretations of much-loved pieces by Haydn, Beethoven and Mendelssohn.

The group will bring an international flavour to Wheeldon Hall at Highfields School in Matlock – as its players hail from England, Ireland and Japan.

The quartet formed in 2005 when violinists Peter Liang and Katrina Damigos, violist Yusuke Kinoshita and cellist Ben Cashell met at the Royal Northern College of Music.

The quartet perform under the leadership of respected composer Steven Mackey, who is Professor of Music at Princeton University.

Matlock Music Society has organised the concert, which will be held on Friday October 10 at 7.30pm.

Admission will cost £10 on the door for adults, £5 for concessions and will be free to under-18s.
