Motown magic at assembly rooms

The 1970s will swing into Derby next month as The Magic Of Motown show comes to the Assembly Rooms.
Thirteen acts dedicated to the heyday of the Motown label will be performing at the Assembly Rooms on Saturday, September 27.
The performance starts at 7.30pm.

Audience members will have the chance to relive classics from artistes such as The Drifters, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Gladys Knight, and Lionel Richie, to name just a few.

Among those who will be performing will be Ade Omatayo, who recently sang with Amy Winehouse at the Glastonbury Festival.

He has also worked with acclaimed band Basement Jaxx.

Tickets for the show cost £19 for adults and £18 for concessions.
