New president takes office

THE NEW president at Long Eaton Probus Club was welcomed at the group's annual general meeting.
During coffee and biscuits at the meeting, outgoing president Bob Thurlow handed the title over to George Fearn and made Michael Atherton vice-president.

George was presented with a certificate for holding his position as group secretary for eight years.

Malcolm Hutchinson was voted member of the year 2009 for his attendance and "100 per cent involvement" in all the club's activities.

The programme for the year was outlined and guests.
