NOTTINGHAM Philharmonic Orchestra's Rotary Charity Concert is to be staged at the city's Royal Concert Hall on Saturday, March 6 from 7.30pm.
Conductor Mark Heron will lead the orchestra through music from four very different operas. There's the raging passions of Verdi's The Force Of Destiny, the seductive waltzes of Richard Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier, plus Johann Strauss's frothy Die Fledermaus and the power and drama of music from Wagner's Parsifal.

The centrepiece of the concert will be a performance of Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto, featuring Alexandra Dariescu as the soloist.

Tickets cost £16 (plus concessions) from the box office on 0115 9895555.
