The UK's first Showcase Cinema De Lux has opened at the Westfield centre in Derby.
A host of VIPs attended the opening ceremony including Coronation Street star Antony Cotton, Derby County president Tom Glick and sports stars Ross Davenport and Donna Kellogg.

Cinema de Lux is a new concept to the UK designed to set new standards in luxury providing excellent service, comfort and amenities and National Amusements is excited about introducing the brand to Derby.

The 2000-plus capacity cinema has 12 auditoria, including two director's halls, which are fitted throughout with ultra leather loveseats and served by their own bar/restaurant.

Additional highlights include Studio One, a stylish full service restaurant and bar leading off the spacious lobby and meeting rooms.

Guests will also be able to take advantage of a concierge service, reserved seating throughout the whole cinema and, in the future, live entertainment and screenings of sports events.
