Chesterfield Mr D. Riley : Obituary

Mr D. Riley Chesterfield Mr Dennis Riley, of Chesterfield, has died, aged 86. Born in Chesterfield and a resident locally all his life, on leaving school he worked as a miner. After his marriage, he was a nursery man at Darley Dale, then a long distance lorry driver. Prior to his retirement he worked as a diesel fitter. Mr Riley enjoyed playing the piano at many venues in and around Chesterfield, he also enjoyed gardening and watching all kinds of sports. He leaves four children, nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Cremation at Chesterfield takes place, Tuesday, February 21, at 10.30am. Donations to Ashgate Hospice. Funeral director: Midland Co-op, West Bars, Chesterfield (tel. 01246 220201).
