THIS week we feature another photograph from a former Ilkeston junior school teacher from more than half a century ago.
After being shown a photograph from the Memory Lane section last year, Norman Langley, who taught at Granby Junior School in Heanor Road, submitted pictures from his time there in the 1950s.
The 84-year-old taught at the school from 1949 to 1955.
This picture was taken in 1952 or 1953 and shows the school football team.
Mr Langley, who now lives in Kent, later became headteacher of three schools and an inspector and adviser to two local education authorities.
He is currently writing his memoirs and would love to hear from former pupils.
More of his photographs will be featured in Memory Lane in coming months.
