Carlos Bonell

Hot on the heels of the Wirksworth Festival, internationally-acclaimed guitarist Carlos Bonell has been lured to Wirksworth for one night only to perform his incredible Magical Mystery Guitar Tour.

His latest album Magical Mystery Guitar Tour has not only gone to number one on the classical iTunes chart, but has broken into the top ten in the overall iTunes chart, alongside the likes of Adele and Coldplay.

In concert at St Mary’s Church on November 25, Carlos will perform tracks from his album, which he was inspired to record after helping Sir Paul McCartney with his own guitar concerto.

Carlos uses his unique talents to passionately strive to bring classical and Spanish guitar into the mainstream.

Privileged audience members will hear Beatles classics performed alongside tracks from his Queen Guitar Rhapsodies album (described by Brian May as “absolutely exquisite”) and famous pieces from the Spanish and classical guitar repertoire, seamlessly fusing the genres of rock and classical into one concert of breathtaking guitar playing.

Local guitar teacher Jonathan Priestly, who has attended Carlos’s master classes said: “I am absolutely delighted that Carlos has added an extra tour date for us and will be playing in this beautiful setting. It really will be a magical evening.”

Tickets will be limited so book early. They can be obtained in person from Traid Links, Market Place, Wirksworth, or by calling 01629 824393. (For credit card payments and more information visit www.carlosbonell.com)
