Kel gets ready to go Live and Local
Kel Elliott
Crich is the latest village to promote Live And Local shows, bringing top quality professional acts to the heart of the community, at affordable prices.
Live And Local’s ongoing philosophy is to present ‘surprising shows in surprising places’, right across the country, and the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire has always had its fair share of interesting and thoroughly entertaining performances to enjoy.
The first show that is planned brings Warwickshire-based Kel Elliott to the Glebe Field Centre on Saturday, February 16.
Doors open at 7pm and there is a licensed bar.
Kel Elliott is a singing double bass player who fronts an impressively energetic and dynamic jazz/blues band.
She has a distinctly rich and powerful voice (think Alison Moyet bathed in chocolate!) She’s backed by a tight band of piano, percussion and rhythm guitar, and together they perform fresh, self-penned songs with catchy melodies, as well as some quirky versions of a selection of certain well-known hits. Kel’s sense of humour is infectious and acerbic.
She interacts with her audience so well that you will not only enjoy great music, but you will have a great time too during the evening.
Tickets to see her in action at Crich are available from David Lane on 01773 856664 or via email atdavid@joylane.org.uk
