Quartet to play in Darwin Suite

THE latest concert presented by Derby Jazz is to feature The Julian Siegel Quartet on Friday, February 17, in the Darwin Suite at Derby’s Assembly Rooms.

The quartet combines the fluid touch of pianist Liam Noble, the muscular energy of Julian Siegel’s saxophone, Gene Calderazzo’s dynamic drumming and the deep groove of bassist Oli Hayhurst.

The band’s music moves freely through varied soundworlds and colours, from electro-acoustic trance to West African drim grooves.

There will be jazz in the foyer from 7pm and then the concert gets under way at 8pm.
