A ROYAL Mail delivery driver has featured on the new album by an 80s rocker.

Darren Travis, of Anson Walk, Ilkeston, has worked with Phil Toone at the Royal Mail office in Eastwood for years but only recently found out about his friend’s rock ‘n’ roll past.

It was only when Phil, formerly of rock band Shywolf revealed he was recording Back to the Fray, that he revealed his rockstar credentials.

After hearing Darren, 37, singing along to the radio, he asked him to contribute lead vocals to a bonus track on the album.

“I had to ask him if he was serious,” said Darren, “It’s been great.”

Back to the Fray, is available from shywolf.co.uk.
