Y Not tickets go on sale

The Y Not Festival machine is clunking into action and tickets have gone on sale for this year’s event.

The first difference of the year is a new, integrated way of getting bands closer to the festival goers.

Via a submission page on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/ynotfestival/app_475209442537930, bands upload their own tracks in Soundcloud or YouTube format.

Y Notters can then listen to the music and request the act they would like to see.

Festival organiser, Ralph Broadbent said: “This is a completely new way for bands to broadcast their music on a fair and open platform, but please note submitting does unfortunately not

guarantee a slot.”

The message from Y Not to all the bands out there is to get uploading!

Y Not this year runs from August 2-4 at Pikehall, near Matlock.

For those wanting to start the party sooner, select the Thursday entry tickets as well (an extra £12 per person) and join a day earlier on August 1.

Earlybird tickets are £75, after that it’s £79.50.
