All good things must come to an end…. and the acclaimed rock ‘n’ roll musical comedy Forever Young is set to light up the stage for the third and final time at Nottingham Playhouse, starting later this month.

Set in a nursing home for retired actors, a group of aged panto performers are determined to prove it’s not all behind them with a host of classic routines, surprisingly athletic dancing and a rousing rock ‘n’ roll sing-along.

Forever Young is showing at Nottingham Playhouse from Wednesday, February 29 to Saturday, March 10.

The original show, by the Swiss writer and director Erik Gedeon, became a cult hit in Hamburg, where it is known as The Thalia Vista Social Club. Audiences respond passionately to a show that touches on universal concerns of aging, memory, nostalgia and the passing of time, all filtered through the power and energy of great music.

The show sees the oldies throw aside their walking stick for some upbeat hit songs including Smells Like Teen Spirit, We Will Rock You and of course, Forever Young.

Director Giles Croft said: “We’re delighted to be bringing Forever Young back one last time in Nottingham. It’s a funny and touching show which has seen audience members return for repeat viewings.”

Ticket details for Forever Young’s third and final run at Nottingham Playhouse are available by calling the box office on 0115 941 9419.
