A PRIZE pupil has been honoured after never missing a day of school.
Emmaleigh Syson, 11, a student at Dallimore Primary School, in Kirk Hallam, leaves the school this year and was presented with a certificate in assembly to mark her achievement.

Headteacher Glyn Julian said: "It's an absolutely amazing achievement to have never missed a day all the time she's been at school so far.

"It says so much about Emmaleigh's attitude to learning and school.

"We've done a lot of work at the school to improve attendance and we're getting there now.

"Emmaleigh is a brilliant example to other pupils and she should be very proud of this achievement."
