A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after four hoax calls were made to police in a two-hour period.

Between 6pm and 8pm last night (Wednesday, August 17), police received four calls about incidents in Ilkeston, including an allegation that a man had been stabbed.

Officers found a group of youths in Jonny’s Park, Wash Meadow play area, Rutland Street and arrested the boy.

He has been released on bail while inquiries continue.
