Police are working with staff at the Factory nightclub in Ilkeston to try and reduce the amount of fights that take place.
Plastic drinking glasses have been introduced and there will be more door staff covering the outside smoking area.

Inspector Pete Szabo at Ilkeston police station said there has been a handful of assaults there over the last few weeks, but in general there is less violence at the club now than there was this time last year.

He said: "The licensee is working hard with police and the recommendations are being taken on board."
