The Ilkeston Area Churches Together (IACT) have finalised several plans at their AGM.
Future plans made up a large proportion of the meeting, and included the forthcoming focus on the July 12 Midsummer Happening at Victoria Park.

The group plans to have a stall and it is hoped their homemade buns and cakes will have their usual appeal.

It is expected the united churches' carol service, led by the borough mayor, will again be held in the market place on Christmas Eve, and they wish to hire the cinema for a private showing of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe in January.

The 2009 programme will include at least one ALPHA course, the What's it all about? explanation and appeal of the Christian faith.
