Children across Derbyshire are being encouraged to 'dress to impress' during International Walk to School month.
More than 250 Derbyshire schools are taking part in activities with some schools working with musicians to write and perform songs about making sure children can be seen on dark mornings and nights.

Cabinet member for environmental services, Cllr Brian Lucas, said: "With the dark nights approaching it's vital that we make sure our children can be seen on their way home from school.

This campaign aims to make children more aware that they need to be seen so that they stay safe."
