Ilkeston sweethearts Keith and Mary Sault celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary on July 23.
The couple married at St Mary’s Church in 1955. They met after one of Keith’s friends set them up and went on dates to St Mary’s school rooms. They have two sons Ian and Boyd, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Keith used to work at Stanton and Mary worked putting the seams on stockings at Worsley Hosiery in Kimberley. She said the secret to making it to 60 years of marriage was a ‘bit of give and take.’ They celebrated with a family meal at Horsley Lodge.
