Ambulance service is meeting targets

A REPORT by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has found that East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) is meeting standards of quality and safety in its care of patients.

The report is based on an inspection of all divisions, control centres and headquarters.

The CQC surveyed people who use the ambulance service to gain their views.

EMAS Chief Executive Paul Phillips said: “This is excellent news for local people and it speaks volumes for the skills and commitment of our staff who work hard to meet people’s healthcare needs.”
