THE ANNUAL Chestnut Fair opens next Thursday, with organisers aiming to bring Long Eaton town centre alive with all the fun of the fair.
The traditional street fair, based in Waverley Street, will be officially opened by Mayor of Erewash Cllr Kevin Miller at 6pm on Thursday November 17, with a first ride on the dodgems. The fair, now in its 12th year, runs until Saturday November 19.
Drivers are being warned that Waverley Street will be closed. Cross Street, Union Street and the Market Place will also be affected.
