A man was left with a deep cut to his face after being hit with a bottle following an alleged brawl in Ilkeston.

The incident took place at 1.25am on Saturday September 6 at The Triangle, close to the junction of Gallows Inn Close.

Two men - aged 22 and 21 were injured - with one said to have been knocked unconscious. A 18-year-old and 20-year-old were arrested for wounding with intent.

A spokesman for Derbyshire Police said: “One of the victims may have been hit with a bottle. Both of them were taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre. One had minor injuries and the other had a deep cut to his face which has been stitched up.”

The area was cordoned off so that police could gather forensic evidence.

The men have been bailed pending further inquiries.
