An Ilkeston art studio will open its doors to the public this weekend as part of a county wide event.
Shed 2 Studios, near to the Advertiser office on Heanor Road, is home to seven artists and designers including studio manager, sculptor Rachel Carter.
She said: “Each artist based at the studios has something different to offer, working with a wide range of different materials including precious metals, recycled materials, willow, wood, ceramics, glass and print.
“To be part of Derbyshire Open Arts is a great privilege and everyone at the studio is really looking forward to meeting people the event attracts.”
Visitors will have the chance to see handmade jewellery, furniture, art, interiors and sculptures. Items will be available to buy and the artists themselves will be on hand to talk about their work.
On Monday will have an opportunity to see Rachel’s latest sculpture which will be revelaed at the Chelsea Flower Show this week.
Shed 2 Studios will open its doors from 11am – 5pm from Saturday May 25 – Monday May 27. For information visit www.shed2.co.uk.
