An Awsworth man has been fined for fishing without a licence in Ilkeston.

Mark Anthony Taylor, 31, of Station Road, was found guilty in his absence at Nottinghamshire Magistrates’ Court on July 29.

The court heard he was caught fishing without a licence at Osbourne Pond, in Ilkeston, on March 28.

He was fined £220 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £127.
