TWO teenagers, who were riding on the same bicycle, were hospitalised after colliding with a stationary car, police have said.
The boys aged 17 and 14 collided with the Audi in Malthouse Road as it was waiting at the roundabout at the junction with Harrow Road at about 1.20pm on Friday.
The 14-year-old hit the windscreen of the car and was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham for treatment and was released later that day.
A police spokesman said that the 17-year-old was later taken to Ilkeston Community Hospital by his mother with a suspected broken wrist and head injuries.
They had been riding along Harrow Road before the crash.
The driver of the Audi was not injured.
