BREAKING NEWS: Man critical after knife attack

Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed in Cotmanhay.

Officers attended the scene at 10.42pm on Sunday January 23 after reports that a 50-year-old man had been stabbed several times in the neck.

It is thought that a group of men attacked the victim in Trueman Street, at the junction of Bridge Street.

The man, who is from Ilkeston, was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham where he remains in intensive care in a critical but stable condition.
