AN APPLICATION to convert a public footpath in Morley into a bridleway has been rejected by Derbyshire County Council.
Mrs A. Lane, on behalf of the British Horse Society, also asked the authority to add two new sections of bridleway from Alhouses Lane to footpath number 22 and from the footpath to the A608.
The council said last month that six objections had been received after consultation carried out in May and June 2007.
Bridleways can be used by horses and bicycles, as well as walkers.
