CHILDREN enjoyed a nature trail and bug hunt during their half term week thanks to Groundwork Derby and Derbyshire.
The event was arranged as part of Groundwork Derby and Derbyshire’s activities, supported by NHS Derbyshire, to encourage young people in Erewash to get and stay physically active for a healthier future.
Groundwork are currently promoting physical activities to schools and groups based in Erewash and encouraging children to get out and about.
Maria Desborough from Groundwork Derby and Derbyshire said: “So far we have worked with over 300 children from five Erewash schools and we still have more activities coming up.
“Children seem to really enjoy the activities which is great to see and hopefully means they’ll carry on getting out and about.”
