DERBYSHIRE and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce has been named a ‘shining light’ as it scooped the Chamber of the Year award.
The UK’s third largest chamber was picked out for its role as the driving force behind the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) initiative, which helped the region give a boost to local business.
Membership is at a record high with both small and large firms getting on board, earning it the British Chambers of Commerce’s Excellence in Membership Services award.
Director general John Longworth said: “This chamber stands out as a shining light to others. Its pioneering work on a national, regional and local level means its members get early access to the latest initiatives as well as extending its services to other chambers.”
