An Ilkeston pub will go under the hammer next month.

The Gallows Inn on Nottingham Road has guide price of £190,000+ and is set to be sold by Graham Penny Auctions at Nottingham Racecourse on July 10.

Vejay Pal, senior valuer at Graham Penny Auctions, said: “We have marketed a number of pubs across our three East Midlands auction centres over the past few months and interest has been high, particularly in those which are still operational as landlords can already see the likely returns.”

The Gallows Inn is on the banks of the Erewash canal. The substantial traditional 19th Century building has been used as a public house for the past nine years. The property includes a four bedroomed apartment over the pub and a patio area and car park.
