Sewing Room opens doors

TWO new jobs have been created in Ilkeston after Johnsons Cleaners, opened its first ever Sewing Room shop on Bath Street.

The new service, offers tailoring and fitting as well as a service allowing people to take their own designs and materials and have them created by the tailor.

Manager Wendy Lockett said: “This is a brand new concept for Johnson Cleaners and demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing convenient services for its customers.

“In the current economic climate, we are living in a ‘make do and mend’ culture and the new ‘Sewing Room’ gives our customers the opportunity to repair and update their wardrobes without having to spend a fortune on new clothes.”
