Records for all marriages, funerals and baptisms that have taken place at Ilkeston’s Holy Trinity Church will be the main attraction at an open church event this Saturday(September 14).
The Cotmanhay Road church will be opening its doors from 10am - 4pm and wants anyone with historical links to it to drop by.
A record of all of the clergy will also be on show.
Church warden, Nicky Bailey, said: “We have managed to get all of the parish records together and we would really like anyone who’s mum and dad got married at the church, people with grandparents who were baptised here or if a family member’s funeral was here to come on down and have a look at the documents.”
Refreshments will be served all day and a music group will play from 2pm-3pm.
