Staff at pubs and off-licences across Erewash are being given the chance to sign up for a training course designed to help combat underage alcohol sales.
Erewash Borough Council is providing two opportunities for people to attend a half day course to achieve a nationally-recognised qualification at Long Eaton Town Hall on Tuesday November 26 and at Ilkeston Town Hall on Wednesday November 27.
The training is being provided as part of the on-going work to tackle underage sales and to reduce alcohol-related crime and disorder in the borough. It will give training on dealing with customers who are drunk and also help those attending to understand licensing laws.
Erewash Community Safety Partnership is helping to fund the course, which will cost £25 per candidate.
The sessions will run between 9am and 1.30pm at both venues.
Anyone who would like more information should contact the council’s licensing team before Friday November 15 on 0115 9072244 or email email@example.com.
