I have lived in the Ilkeston East area for more than 35 years and I have a postal vote because of my job and being away from home all week.
Now I am semi-retired and I expected to be visited by at least one of the prospective candidates for the Derbyshire County Council elections on Thursday last week.
The only one I might have recognised is Glennice Birkin who was pointed out to me on Bath Street some years ago.
The rest were simply names on a sheet of paper which could have been a figment of someone’s imagination as far as I know.
Is this the way to run an election? I don’t think so.
If a private company was run in this way it would soon go bust.
Or is that the method behind this charade? Regards from thoroughly disgusted.
