ILKESTON roads are set to benefit from a £3.6m Government grant to fix potholes caused by the bad winter weather.
The town will receive a total of £60,000 for carriageway repairs in South Street and Corporation Road.
Long Eaton is having £222,000 of carriageway repairs and footway repairs in College Street, Frederick Street, Milton Street and Tamworth Road.
The council has already put £20m aside to tackle potholes, safety schemes and road repairs across the county.
The extra cash will fund around 70 repair projects. The council said most will be completed by the end of March with some improvements being planned later in 2012.
