Cat shot in the eye with pellet gun in Ilkeston

Police are appealing for information after a cat was shot with a pellet gun and required surgery to remove its eye.

On Wednesday, April 27 between 9am and 4.30pm a cat was shot in the eye by a pellet gun around the Mill Acre Close area of Ilkeston.

The cat was taken to the vets by its owner and had to have its eye removed.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Sarah-Jane Gibbs on 101 quoting crime number 18673/16.
