Graffiti hotspots will be cleaned up thanks to £25,000 from Derbyshire County Council.
The work will be carried out by offenders taking part in community payback schemes run by Derbyshire Probation Service and a cleaning contractor.
Community safety partnerships and parish councils will be encouraged to report problem spots in their areas.
They will be sent a letter and an application form to nominate areas they would like to see cleaned up.
A similar project last year was deemed so successful, the council decided to run it again this year.
The council says it is hoped the county-wide crackdown will restore a sense of pride in communities and help residents feel better about where they live.
