A COMMUNITY garden will be in bloom again this spring thanks to a donation from Three Valleys Housing.

The housing association has given a grant of £400 to the Three Trees Community Association, a group who take care of the plot on Anson Walk.

Last year the group took gold in the best community garden category of the Erewash in Bloom competition.

Three Trees chair, Shirley Argent, said: “The garden is an important part of the community and we’re extremely proud of it. We’ll be using the money to buy bulbs, compost, bedding and bark to ensure a good display in the spring time and we’ll definitely be entering the Erewash in Bloom competition again this year.”
