COUNCILLORS have given the green light to a plan to build a row of terraced houses in Cotmanhay, despite objections from neighbours.
At an Erewash Borough Council planning committee meeting last Wednesday, members voted to approve the plan to build three homes on land south 4 Nelson Street.
Residents had written to the council to complain that the development would cause problems with privacy, traffic and a loss of wildlife.
The proposal from Tyrone Le Mercier, of Nelson Street, was given the thumbs up on the condition that details of the materials he plans to use for the entrance are given to the council before work starts.
