RESIDENTS across the county will be asked to tell the council what’s in their bin.
The voluntary survey sent out by Derbsyhire County Council will land on doormats this week.
A small selection of those households selected will have their rubbish taken away by a specialist company.
The rubbish will be taken to a depot, mixed together, sorted, weighed and analysed.
The information will give the council information about how much recyclable rubbish is being thrown away.
Bosses say data collected will help in the planning of future kerbside collections across the county.
