Nuthall councillor Phillip Owen has donated hundreds of pounds to two worthy local causes from his councillor’s divisional fund.
The councillor donated £500 for new the Watnall Allotment and Garden Association to invest in new security gates, and a £250 towards Diamond Jubilee celebrations at Nuthall’s St Patrick’s Church.
The allotment association has been raising money for five years to make security tighter at the allotments.
The Wednesday Club at the Nuthall church is organising a Royal tea party on June 9 where there will be music, singing and dancing.
