Crew of Stanley bomber remembered

Five brave men who lost their lives during World War Two in the Wellington Bomber disaster in Stanley were remembered in a annual ceremony in the village.

The commemorative service took place on Saturday at Stanley Churchyard.

The Wellington Bomber W5795 crashed in Stanley on July 12 1942. The plane plummeted to the ground during an altitude test flight resulting in the deaths of the crew.
