People can meet key policing figures and find out more about crime reduction at The Arena on Rutland Road on Tuesday June 11 at 7pm.

The Your Police Your Views 2013 engagement project will be led by the county’s crime commissioner Alan Charles and chief constable Mick Creedon.

Members of the public will be able to ask questions and raise any further policing issues. Anybody who is unable to attend can text in questions on 07702 443385.

Alan Charles said: “Policing is a public service and we need to have a two-way dialogue with the public, who are in fact our ‘customers’, where we look at the way we provide that service to help us identify where we can improve still further.

“To deliver the best kind of policing possible with the funds that we have available to us, it is important to understand what is really expected of us.”
