Police arrested 13 people after a brawl at a Trowell pub following a local derby football game on Saturday (September 28).
Between 30 and 40 men were involved in the fight at The Festival Inn, Ilkeston Road, at about 5pm – three hours after the Nottingham Forest versus Derby County Championship game had finished.
It followed 10 arrests made during and immediately after the game at Forest’s city ground, Nottinghamshire Police said.
Supt Mark Holland said: “This incident took place long after the majority of supporters had enjoyed the game and made their way home peacefully.
“It is a minority who give football supporters a bad name with incidents like this and it should not be tolerated. If you saw anything please contact us.”
The game ended 1-0 with Forest’s Jack Hobbs scoring the winner. In a shock move Derby County sacked manager Nigel Clough after the match.
Officers investigating the incident at Trowell are appealing for anyone with information to call Football Intelligence on 0115 967 2254.
