A would-be robber who attacked an Ilkeston shopkeeper with a knife is still at large more than a week later.
No arrests have been made after Pete Eizens was hospitalised in the attack at Sue’s Off Licence in Station Road.
The 61-year-old was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham after the attack at 8.55am last Monday on the corner of John Street.
He remained in a stable condition, having suffered puncture wounds until the following day.
Police say they are still making enquiries after they interviewed Mr Eizens following his release from hospital.
The knifeman was described as white, in his mid 20s, around 5ft 10ins, of slim build and wearing dark clothing, a black scarf and black gloves.
He was seen running off in the direction of Alvenor Street.
Police, including scientific support, were at the scene for hours afterwards and both John Street and Station Road were shut to traffic for a while.
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
