A burglar broke into a house thought the cat flap.

Burglars broke into a house in Long Eaton through the cat flap.

Derbyshire Police said: "The raiders first smashed a window to try and gain access to the property in Gough Grove, Long Eaton but failed and then managed to get in by breaking the cat flap."

The break-in took place sometime between 2pm last Friday, and 11.30am yesterday morning while the owners were away.

A spokesperson added: "Once inside, the offenders stole a silver Links of London charm bracelet and cash."
