CANS of booze were seized and letters sent to parents after a joint police and council crackdown on yobs in Kirk Hallam.
On Friday night police officers and Erewash Borough Council neighbourhood wardens targeted ‘hotspot’ areas, confiscating alcohol from underage drinkers and sending anti-social behaviour letters to parents of offenders.
Pc Louise Stevenson said: “The night proved to be a success and was a perfect example of good partnership working.
“Anti-social behaviour and under-age drinking is a constant issue in and around Kirk Hallam, by conducting patrols such as this it shows the youngsters that we are taking action and will not tolerate this type of behaviour.
“We will continue to work with Erewash Borough Council to tackle this issue in the future.”
