Chesterfield magistrates’ court heard on Monday how Tracy Smalley, 24, of Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield, was caught with heroin in a Kinder Surprise Egg capsule.

Prosecuting solicitor John Cooper said police searched Smalley’s former address and found two wraps of heroin inside the capsule. Smalley pleaded guilty to possessing the class A drug after the raid in December.

Mr Cooper added Smalley has previous convictions and has had “about eight community orders with drug requirements”.

Stephen Burdon, defending, said Smalley has co-operated in the past and has struggled due to a sanction against her benefits. Magistrates sentenced Smalley to a 12 month community order with drug rehabilitation and training. She was ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge.
